About this site
FairValueGaps.com explains one chart pattern, the fair value gap, for traders who want a plain definition and honest limits.
Who writes it
The pages are written by the FairValueGaps.com editors. The site does not name an individual author yet.
[PLACEHOLDER: a named author, with experience a reader can check]
Method
- Each page states the rule it uses, exactly: three candles, wicks only, no minimum size. The rule is code, with tests, and the charts are marked by that code.
- Definitions differ between educators. Where they do, the page says so and says which one this site follows.
- Every market chart is made from real Dukascopy 15-minute candles in an archive of weekly files. A script cuts them into 12-hour windows (06:00 to 18:00 UTC) and finds the gaps. Nothing is drawn by hand, and each chart has a provenance record at
/charts/. - Examples are chosen for readability and the page says so. Counts come from every window read, not the chosen ones, and are described exactly: the sample, the dates and the rule.
- The pair pages show the latest session in the archive, with the time the data ends. They are rebuilt when the archive is updated, so they are not live prices.
- Explanatory drawings are labelled as diagrams, not market charts.
- The site makes no claims about results. A pattern on a chart is not a trading signal.
- Offers that do not exist yet are marked as planned or in preparation.
